Start your weekend early with The Works Tour and Breakfast, offered only Friday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 27 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Guests of this tour will meet in the Kentucky Derby Museum's lobby at 8:30 a.m., then head to Wicker Garden, located above Section 237 at Churchill Downs Racetrack. Over a light continental breakfast, a tour guide will discuss the action on the track, including the ins and outs of training Thoroughbreds as well as handicapping the races.
Guests will then return to the Museum to take in two-floors of interactive exhibits between 10-10:45 a.m. before heading down to the D. Wayne Lukas Gallery for an exclusive Inside the Vault talk with the Museum’s curitorial team at 10:45-11:30 a.m.
The price of The Works tour also includes admission to a day of racing at Churchill Downs Racetrack, with general admission or box seat options. Churchill Downs Racetrack opens gates at 11:30 a.m. First post time for races is at 12:40 p.m., running throughout the day with last post time at 5:15 p.m.
