Kentucky Derby Museum’s It’s My Derby fashion exhibit updated with winners of the 2016 Hat Contest and celebrity Derby Day ensembles

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 14, 2016) – Big hats and fashionable ensembles are as much a part of the Kentucky Derby as the race itself! The It’s My Derby exhibit captures all the elegance, quirkiness, and flair of this year’s best dressed Derby-goers. The Kentucky Derby Museum changes out the display each year to reflect the style and fashion of the most recent Derby.

Three updated celebrity Derby outfits are now on display, including Monte Durham of the TLC TV show Say Yes to the Dress, Clark Janell Davis, Miss Kentucky 2015 and Steve Wilson, founder of the 21C Museum Hotel.

Twenty hats selected from more than 70 entries in the Museum’s 2016 Hat Contest have also been installed in the exhibit. They will be on display for visitors to view for the next year. The hats include everything from a beautiful fascinator designed by Rachel Trevor Morgan, milliner to Queen Elizabeth II, a 3D-printed sunhat and a hat made of Kentucky Fried Chicken buckets! (To view a Flickr album of all of the 2016 Hat Contest winners click here.)
