Kentucky Derby Museum and Mint Julep Tours now offering A Champion’s Tour to Darley at Jonabell Farm

Visit Kentucky Derby winners Animal Kingdom and Street Sense Sept. 7  

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug.31, 2016) – The Kentucky Derby Museum and Mint Julep Tours is offering a new opportunity to tour Jonabell Farm, home of Darley stallions in America, located in Lexington, Ky. A Champion’s Tour is available right now for just one exclusive date, Wednesday, Sept. 7.

The full day tour departs from the Galt House Hotel at 9:30 a.m. and then heads out to the Kentucky Derby Museum. Guests of the tour can take in the Museum’s two floors of interactive exhibits showcasing 142 years of Kentucky Derby history, explore the feature exhibit AMERICAN PHAROAH, enjoy the Museum’s recently updated 360° immersive media experience, The Greatest Race, a historic walking tour of Churchill Downs Racetrack and a stop in the Finish Line Gift Shop.

From the Museum, it’s off to beautiful Jonabell Farm, home of Kentucky Derby winners Animal Kingdom (2011) and Street Sense (2007) as well as 2004 Derby winner Smarty Jones’ sire, Elusive Quality.

Jonabell Farm is the American operation of Darley Stallions, owned by HH Sheikh Mohammed, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Guests will learn about the global scope Darley’s international breeding and racing operations, as they tour the stallion barns and breeding shed.

A Champion’s Tour is $139 per guest and includes all admissions. (Lunch is not included, but can be added in the Museum’s Derby Café.)

The tour is set for one exclusive date at this time, Wednesday, September 7. It departs at 9:30 a.m. from the Galt House Hotel and will return at 6 p.m.
