LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 21, 2016) – Kentucky Derby Museum is once again partnering with Mint Julep Tours to offer a full day tour that includes not only a Museum visit but a trip to Coolmore’s Ashford Stud to see Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and other Kentucky Derby winners, including Fusaichi Pegasus and Thunder Gulch.
The tour departs from Galt House Hotel, where guests are driven to the Kentucky Derby Museum to enjoy two floors of interactive exhibits, including the feature exhibit AMERICAN PHAROAH. The exhibit celebrates the Triple Crown champion and his winning connections. It runs through December 2016. Guests of the tour can also enjoy the immersive, 360° media experience, The Greatest Race as well as a historic walking tour of Churchill Downs and a stop in The Finish Line Gift Shop. Guests also have the option of adding lunch in the Museum’s Derby Café.
Then it’s off to Coolmore’s Ashford Stud to see their iconic stallion barns, which are home to Grand Slam Champion American Pharoah, three-time champion sire Giant’s Causeway and Kentucky Derby winners Fusiachi Pegasus and Thunder Gulch.
Guests arrive back at the Galt House Hotel around 6 p.m.
