Spanish Class
Spanish class is a great opportunity to learn Spanish and hear it spoken by native Spanish speakers. The small class setting provides an no-pressure atmosphere. The class is taught by a native English speaker who understands how difficult it is to learn Spanish. Two native Spanish speaking assistants also attend the class who are fluent in English and also understand how difficult it is to learn another language.
The class covers basic vocabulary with a focus on vocabulary for horsemen, the Spanish alphabet, grammar and conversation. The class also takes field trips to put Spanish into practice.
Spanish class meets Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
Enrollment: There are a few informational forms to fill out.
Independent Spanish Study
There are many resources in the Library for studying Spanish. There books to practice reading, textbooks and workbooks.
Getting Started: Ask a team member or volunteer for help to find what you need.
Bilingual Hour
Students have the opportunity to practice Spanish during Bilingual Hour with native Spanish speakers who are learning English. Bilingual Hour takes place on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Participate: Enrollment is not necessary. Come to the Learning Center on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. to join us.
