Twinspired, resident Thoroughbred and successful Sire

The Kentucky Derby Museum is very proud of their current resident Thoroughbred, Twinspired, for being ranked 44th of the top 100 2017 Leading First Crop Sires according to an article published in the BloodHorse magazine. His daughter from his first crop, Pure Justice, became a stakes winner this past Saturday by blowing away the competition by 6 ¾ lengths in the Emerald Necklace Stakes at Thistledowns. The talented Ohio bred gray filly broke her maiden (or won her first race) by 15 ¾ lengths at Belterra Park on September 21, 2017.

Besides the recognition Twinspired is garnering for his work during the breeding season, the hardworking stallion also serves in another role as an ambassador for the Thoroughbred industry to over 230,000 guests visiting the Kentucky Derby Museum from around the world. He arrives at the Derby Museum after the breeding season concludes and takes up residence in the Museum’s barn until he returns to Poplar Creek Horse Center to prepare for the next breeding season. As a past Kentucky Derby contender (2011) he is very popular with the guests as he is gorgeous, very friendly and never met a camera he didn’t like!
