Breeders' Cup Festival 5th Grade S.T.E.M. Learning Experience at Churchill Downs

The Kentucky Derby Museum and Breeders' Cup Incorporated have collaborated to provide a unique, cross curriculum education opportunity for fifth grade students, using the Breeders' Cup World Championship as a backdrop for deeper learning initiatives.

FREE for all students and chaperones. Bus subsidy will be provided.

Itinerary

9:30 – 10:00: Arrival at Churchill Downs and enter Central Avenue main entrance

10:00 – 10:15: Welcome and intro to Breeders' Cup on the Big Board

10:15 - 10:15: Volunteers will guide classes to one of 10 education stations

10:20 – 12:05: Groups rotate through 10 stations, 8-9 minutes allotted for each stop

 * Location and topics subject to change.

12:05 – 12:30: Lunch (students/school to provide sack lunches) in second floor Jockey Club at Churchill Downs

12:30 – 1:00: Restrooms and walk back to bus loading area to depart
