The KDM front line team conducts a continuing education session quarterly to further our Thoroughbred industry knowledge. Our recent education session took place at historic Keeneland racetrack.
Congrats Zander Massey, 3rd grader at Breckinridge Franklin Elementary in Louisville for winning the Art in the Winner’s Circle XI exhibit at Kentucky Employees Credit Union in Frankfort!
Outreach is off to a pretty solid start for the 2015-16 school year. The first four visits were to target counties. We have 8 counties left until our program has visited all 120 in the state.
The Kentucky Derby Museum was proud to welcome nearly 18, 900 visitors to the Museum for the 2015 National Future Farmers of America Convention, held this year in Louisville.
On June 20, the Museum hosted 21 students from the Southeast Regional Transition Institute for the Deaf and Blind.
Well, outreach is over. All-in-all, it was a pretty great year. I saw 27,932 students in 40 counties. Here are my best questions of the year while out on the road.
Stage One Family Theatre brought their unique talents for storytelling and drama, serving as the Kentucky Derby Museum’s Artist in Residence for 2015.
