Kentucky Derby Museum Announces New Tour Available On Two November Days Only

Enjoy a One-of-a-Kind Experience with The Works Tour and Breakfast Nov. 20 and 27

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –The Kentucky Derby Museum is introducing a new patron experience in The Works Tour and Breakfast that will be available only on a pair of Fridays in November. The unique morning tour features the opportunity to enjoy a light breakfast while watching world-class Thoroughbreds train, get the inside scoop on the day’s races, view exclusive Museum exhibits and receive a general admission ticket to Churchill Downs Racetrack for the day, with the opportunity to upgrade that ticket to a box seat.

The Works Tour and Breakfast kicks off at 8:30 a.m. (EST) at the Museum on Nov. 20 and 27. Guests will walk to the Wicker Garden located above Section 327 at the top of the Churchill Downs homestretch, where they will watch the horses as they go through their morning workouts. Guests will enjoy a light breakfast with a spectacular view of the track while, a tour guide will offer insight into the on-track action along with thoughts on the day’s races.

Guests will then return to the Museum to explore two floors of interactive exhibits on the history of America’s greatest horse race. Then it’s off to the D. Wayne Lukas Gallery for an exclusive Inside the Vault tour, a rare opportunity to see artifacts not currently on exhibit and learn about them from the Museum’s curatorial team. Highlighted collections include those of Hall of Fame jockey and four-time Kentucky Derby winner Bill Shoemaker and Hall of Fame trainers Jimmy Jones and Woody Stephens.

The Works Tour and Breakfast includes a General Admission ticket to enjoy a day of live racing at Churchill Downs, with the option to upgrade to reserved box seat.

The Works and Breakfast Tour will be offered on Friday, Nov. 20 and 27 only. Tickets are $30 per person with General Admission to Churchill Downs Racetrack or $35 per person for a box seat.
