Kentucky Derby Museum honored with Business of the Year Award from Louisville Business First

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 9, 2016) – The Kentucky Derby Museum is pleased to announce it was named Business of the Year in the nonprofit category of the Louisville Business First Business of the Year awards.

The Business of the Year awards program, now in its 12th year, recognizes finalist and winners in six categories, including very large company; large company; medium company; small company; emerging company; and nonprofit organization.

Business First held black-tie awards gala last night at The Henry Clay for the 21 outstanding businesses and nonprofit organizations that have “demonstrated excellence in 2016”.

“We are beyond thrilled to accept this honor. We’ve just marked our most successful ever in the Museum’s history, with strong increases in attendance and revenue numbers. I am extremely proud of the hard work the Kentucky Derby Museum team has put forth this year. This award will inspire us to continue to grow and excel,” Patrick Armstrong, President of the Kentucky Derby Museum said.

The Museum would like to congratulate everyone who was nominated, including fellow nonprofit finalists, The Fund for the Arts and The Morton Center.
