Kentucky Derby Museum celebrates fathers with free admission, ribeye lunch
Special photo opportunity with Derby replica trophy, bourbon flight and betting lessons on Father’s Day
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 16, 2020) – Kentucky Derby Museum is celebrating dads this Father’s Day with more than “just lunch.” Sunday, June 21, dads can enjoy an upscale lunch, learn how to place a bet like a pro, and taste a bourbon flight. Plus, dads get free admission into the Museum. The bugler from Churchill Downs will be on hand to kick off the celebration!
The bugler from Churchill Downs will perform a call to the post to get lunch started. From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., stop inside the Museum’s Derby Cafe Express to treat dad to a mouthwatering ribeye lunch with a loaded baked potato for just $15. Take a seat on our spacious, covered outdoor patio right next to historic Churchill Downs. After lunch, stop by our bar and spoil dad with a Mint Julep or bourbon flight.
Celebrating dad doesn’t stop with lunch. Learn how to place a bet with an expert who will teach the family how to make an educated bet. Families can make dad feel like a champ by taking a family photo with a Derby replica trophy. Plus, there is plenty of time to explore the Museum’s two floors of interactive exhibits and watch our epic movie, “The Greatest Race.”
Guests who haven’t bought dad a gift yet can stop by the Museum’s Gift Shop. From a unique bourbon selection, including the official Derby 146 Woodford Reserve Derby Bourbon bottle, to bourbon flavored grilling spices from Bourbon Barrel Foods, to Derby-themed socks and ties, there is a gift for every dad inside. Dads can enter for a chance to win a $25 gift card, which can be used inside the Gift Shop or towards experiences at the Museum.
