LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 30, 2021) – Kentucky Derby Museum is excited to announce the first ever Winning Colors Derby Hat Soirée and Brunch plus the return of the Big Brims and Fancy Trims Derby Hat Sample Sale! Guests can shop safely while having a blast getting ready for the Kentucky Derby season.

Winning Colors Derby Hat Soirée and Brunch
Guests will have the opportunity to see and purchase the latest Derby hat designs while enjoying a gourmet brunch, unlimited mimosa bar and hat fashion show. A DJ will energize the morning as local TV personalities and local celebrities, including Miss Kentucky, waltz through the room showcasing a variety of hat styles, including show-stopping looks from Formé Millinery Co, Simply Laura Millinery, DI-ANNE ISBELL, and Christine A. Moore Millinery, and jewelry by Kendra Scott. The Winning Colors Derby Hat Soiree and Brunch is the perfect “girls' day out” for all to attend on Sunday, April 11 from 11AM – 2PM. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased here.

Big Brims and Fancy Trims
It's the "Black Friday" of hat sales! Get the best deals on more than 500 Derby hats at the annual Big Brims and Fancy Trims Derby Hat Sample Sale! Prices start as low as $19 and there will be no hats priced over $75. All ticket holders will enjoy complimentary cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music. Guests are encouraged to bring or wear their Derby ensembles for styling tips and more. Shop safely with Covid precautions in place on Thursday, April 8. Check-in starts at 4:30 and the event lasts from 5–8 PM. Early admission and all tickets can be purchased here.

Featured Milliners: Kentucky Derby Museum is excited to announce three Featured Milliners this Kentucky Derby season! Throughout the year, Kentucky Derby Museum Store will feature hats designed by Jenny Pfanenstiel of Formé Millinery Co., DI-ANNE ISBELL and Laura Moser of Simply Laura Millinery.

Formé Millinery Co.
Master Milliner and owner of Louisville-based Formé Millinery, Jenny Pfanenstiel will return as a Featured Milliner for the Kentucky Derby Museum. Pfanenstiel’s one-of-a-kind pieces have been worn by some of the world’s most fashionable people including Former First Lady Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Madonna just to name a few. Pfanenstiel is also a Featured Milliner for the 147th Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve.

Simply Laura Millinery
Louisville-native Laura Moser’s designs are uniquely crafted to each individual wearer. Simply Laura Millinery has been featured on the cover of Today’s Woman Magazine, The Voice Tribune, and Tatler magazine in London. Moser prides herself on her detailed craftsmanship which she learned while studying under some of the most talented master milliners from around the world.

DI-ANNE ISBELL
Dianne Isbell’s world-renowned creations have graced the heads of derby-goers for decades and she is now a welcomed addition to the Kentucky Derby Museum’s collection as a Featured Milliner. She has won countless national awards for her designs and is an artist-in-residence at the St. Louis Fashion Fund.
