Rich Strike's thrilling victory now showing on 360° HD screen

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 8, 2022) – Rich Strike is getting his glory at the Kentucky Derby Museum, and guests can now relive his thrilling victory on the big screen.

The Museum's signature 18-minute movie, The Greatest Race, now includes the shocking upset win of Rich Strike charging ahead to claim the 148th running of the Kentucky Derby. Guests can experience the thrilling win on the larger than life 360° high definition screen. The second longest shot to win the Kentucky Derby is now cementing his place in history at the Kentucky Derby Museum.

The Museum has updated its lobby banner with pictures of the Rich Strike team, as seen in this timelapse video.

The final touches are being put on the Winner's Circle exhibit, a favorite spot on the first floor of the Museum for guests to take pictures. A local artist, Michael Prather, has been airbrushing the replica horse to look exactly like the chestnut colt, including the white blaze on Rich Strike's face and white socks on his hind feet.
Guests can experience the Rich Strike updates at the Kentucky Derby Museum and take home images of Rich Strike, shot by photograper Ted Tarquinio. Prints are available inside the Kentucky Derby Museum Store.
