Naming a Thoroughbred is just one step on the road to winning the Kentucky Derby, and it takes creativity, hard work, and a lot of fun to get the job finished. Our foal on the second floor of the Museum needs a name! We invited students (1st - 5th grades) in Kentucky and the Indiana counties of Clark, Floyd, Harrison, and Washington to submit their name suggestions.
We've narrowed it down to these three finalists:
Hot Foot Fred
Sandman’s Pride
Midnight Blaze
