The Kentucky Derby Museum will host a special media event commemorating American Pharoah’s recent Triple Crown Championship and showcasing major changes to the Museum’s 360-degree show, “The Greatest Race,” on August 4, 2015 at 11 a.m.
Mr. Brad Rives, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Derby Museum announced today that with Lynn Ashton’s retirement after 20 years of service the Board has selected Mr. Patrick Armstrong as the Museum’s new President effective August 10, 2015.
A new display of hats and outfits are now available in the Kentucky Derby Museum’s “It’s my Derby” exhibit, showcasing the fashion from fans and celebrities that make the Kentucky Derby experience so memorable.
Several changes recognizing the historical achievement of American Pharoah as Thoroughbred racing’s 12th Triple Crown Champion will be unveiled at the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Updates recognizing Kentucky Derby 141 winner American Pharoah will be unveiled at the Kentucky Derby Museum Friday, June 5. Using images, video, text and sound, six exhibits will be revised to reflect American Pharoah’s accomplishments as he takes his place in the history books.
“The Prince of Jockeys: The Life of Isaac Burns Murphy,” a traveling exhibit dedicated to the career of three-time Kentucky Derby winning jockey Isaac Murphy, will end its residence at the Kentucky Derby Museum May 31.
Bill Samuels, Jr., Chairman Emeritus at Maker’s Mark, will bring his wealth of bourbon knowledge to the fourth installment of the Kentucky Derby Museum’s unique and intimate Legends Series on June 2.
