2027 Featured Milliner Program

Application Form: 9/01/26 – 10/01/26

Terms and Conditions

General Benefits:

• Designation as a Featured Milliner of the Kentucky Derby Museum for one (1) year, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

• Opportunity to showcase a maximum of two (2) hats/fascinators for sale, on-site, in the Kentucky Derby Museum Store.

• Opportunity to offer a maximum of eight (8) hats/fascinators for sale in the Kentucky Derby Museum Online Store via drop-ship, in addition to the two (2) hats/fascinators for sale on-site.

• Flexibility to update on-site and online offerings seasonally (spring/summer and fall/winter).

• Inclusion in one (1) group press release unveiling Kentucky Derby Museum’s Featured Milliners.

• Inclusion in one (1) Featured Milliner group announcement e-blast.

• Inclusion in one (1) Featured Milliner group social media post.

• One (1) individual media or social media opportunity at museum’s discretion.

• Opportunity to use “Kentucky Derby Museum 2026 Featured Milliner” logo in promotional offerings and website/socials.


Hat Show Benefits (Sunday, March 22, 2026):

• Featured Milliner will receive one (1) vendor booth to display and sell items on-site during the Hat Show event.

• Featured Milliner will provide ten (10) looks (hats/fascinators) to be worn by runway models during Hat Show event.

• Featured Milliner will receive on-stage mention(s) by the emcee, during the Hat Show event.

• Featured Milliner will have the opportunity to walk the runway during the Hat Show event.

• One (1) Featured Milliner group media opportunity - to be scheduled in February/March.

• One (1) group social post or reel. Content to be created by Kentucky Derby Museum and posted by March, 2026.

Sponsor Obligations:

During the term of this Agreement, Sponsor agrees to provide and/or perform the following:

• Application submission deadline: October 1, 2025.

• Featured Milliner selection notifications: On or before December 19, 2025.

*This information must be kept confidential until the museum makes public announcement.

• Featured Milliner to provide museum with ten (10) hats/fascinators, to be used in Kentucky Derby Museum Hat Runway Show: Drop-off on or before March 2, 2026.

*Loss or damage will be the responsibility of the museum, upon arrival and inspection, until day of event.

*Sponsor agrees to assume responsibility for all hats/fascinators during and following the event.

• Kentucky Derby Museum Hat Show Fitting: TBD Early March

• Kentucky Derby Museum Hat Show Attendance: March 22, 2026

*Featured Milliner or designated representative(s) required on-site.

• Sponsor agrees to provide approved trademarks, trade names, logos, service marks and symbols of sponsor for use by the museum.

• Sponsor agrees to clear all news releases and/or media contacts regarding sponsorship with museum a minimum of one (1) week prior to publicized release.

• Sponsor agrees to promote awareness of partnership.

• Sponsor shall not enter into any sub-sponsorship agreements for the event which provide for recognition, promotion or marketing of any third party, without written consent of museum.

• The Kentucky Derby Museum Store will receive a 25% commission on all hats/fascinators sold during museum special events, while vendor is on-site. Vendor agrees to operate their own point of sale for hats/fascinators offered at any museum special event.

• Vendor agrees to provide the Kentucky Derby Museum Store with a detailed post-event sales report, due within three (3) business days of event. The Kentucky Derby Museum Store will invoice vendor for 25% of total sales, due within thirty (30) days.

• The Kentucky Derby Museum Store will receive a 50% commission on all items consigned; vendors should provide the store with a valid price list, and the store will provide payment for each item sold based at 50% of the listed retail price. Payments for product(s) sold are made every thirty (30) days by check for sales activity occurring between the first and last day of the previous month.

• A sponsorship fee of $3,500 is due to the museum within thirty (30) days of contract execution.

• Additional requirements included within contract and consignment agreement – available for review upon request, or upon selection notification.
