Golden Tempo connections revisit Derby 152

Cherie DeVaux's custom sneakers among artifacts now on display

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 27, 2026) – Golden Tempo's connections got a first look at the Kentucky Derby Museum's Winner's Circle exhibit during a private tour Saturday, reliving the team's thrilling Kentucky Derby victory through new artifacts and multimedia updates throughout the museum.

The annual exhibit refresh honors each Kentucky Derby winner by preserving its story for the future and allowing guests to experience the race long after the first Saturday in May.

"We look forward to these updates each year," said Patrick Armstrong, Kentucky Derby Museum President and CEO. "While every Derby adds a new chapter to racing history, this year's victory marks a milestone with Cherie DeVaux becoming the first female trainer to win the Kentucky Derby. It's an honor to help preserve and share these incredible stories."

Kentucky Derby 152 updates at the museum include:

  • The Winner's Circle exhibit replica horse transformed into the likeness of Golden Tempo

  • Footage added to the 360-degree movie, The Greatest Race, of Golden Tempo's win

  • Artifacts on display, including a halter worn by Golden Tempo and the custom shoes, bracelet, and red blazer worn by trainer Cherie DeVaux

  • New self-guiding panels allowing guests to learn more about Golden Tempo and the entire team behind the Derby-winning victory

"Walking through the museum has really brought, I think all of us, back to a couple weeks ago where Golden Tempo won the Derby," said Cherie DeVaux, while exploring the museum. "It's been a really busy couple weeks since, so I've been looking forward to coming here and just letting it all sink in."

The exhibit also highlights jockey José Ortiz's impressive Derby-Oaks double win, featuring a halter worn by Oaks 152 winner Always A Runner on display.

In addition to the new exhibit updates, fans can shop Golden Tempo merchandise, including professional prints, team tac pins, Post 19 swag and more, available online and at the Kentucky Derby Museum Store.

Guests can visit the museum daily to experience the excitement of Derby 152 and take their photo in the Winner's Circle, which will feature Golden Tempo's victory through mid-May 2027. General admission includes two floors of exhibits and a complimentary Guided Track Visit. Guests can book their museum experience in advance online: https://www.derbymuseum.org/
