Bring the excitement of the Kentucky Derby® into your classroom through a FREE standards-aligned virtual experience designed for 4th and 5th grade students. Our virtual field trips are available anywhere.

The virtual field trip is structured for 2 different pathways of instruction:
  1. A classroom-wide, teacher-facilitated experience. This pathway includes printable student activities and videos.

  2. An independent student-paced experience, focused on self-driven digital-first learning.

Located in Southern Indiana or Kentucky?

We offer both on-site museum field trips and outreach programs throughout Southern Indiana and Kentucky—often at little to no cost to schools and community organizations.

What's included

  • 1. Derby Basics (ELA/Writing Focus)
  • 2. Derby History (Social Studies Focus)
  • 3. Derby Math (Math + Economics Focus)
  • Access to content is available for one full academic calendar school year
