How do champions warm up? Come see for yourself with a Derby Contenders Workout Tour! Experience all the sights and sounds of the world’s top 3-year-old Thoroughbreds, including this year’s Derby and Oaks contenders, as they race by right in front of you at nearly 40 mph. Your guide will make sure to point out the horses you can expect to see in the upcoming Kentucky Derby.
At 7:00 AM, Derby and Oaks contenders are typically on the track for morning workouts. By 8:45 AM, some contenders may still be working out alongside other world‑class Thoroughbreds as you stand railside along the track.
The Derby Contenders Workout Tour is great for horse lovers, but please note guests will not be able to touch the horses.
