This guided van tour will take you through the vibrant community of horses, trainers, exercise riders, and more as they prepare for the big day. As you ride between the signature green-roofed barns, be on the lookout for the iconic yellow saddle cloths that adorn current Derby contenders’ stalls and maybe even catch a glimpse of the next Triple Crown Winner.
This tour runs throughout the day. At 7:00 AM, Derby and Oaks contenders are usually on the track for morning workouts. By 8:45 AM, you may still catch contenders and other elite Thoroughbreds training as you watch from the backstretch rail.
The Barn and Backside Tour is great for horse lovers, but please note that guests will not be able to touch the horses.
